The McQuearys

Michelle and Jeff McQueary are missionaries with One Collective, serving since 2003. Michelle is the director of Casa Esperanza, a transformative ministry located in the heart of San Jose, Costa Rica's capital. Michelle, Jeff, and their team of workers and volunteers provide a compassionate, holistic response to people who have experienced exploitation, homelessness, addiction, trauma, and abuse. The ministry offers practical and spiritual support, including access to a psychologist and a social worker, as well as food, clothing, and other basic needs.

Beyond immediate relief, Casa Esperanza offers programs that empower individuals to rebuild their lives: life-skills classes that help participants develop marketable abilities and pursue small business opportunities. The ministry also gives devotionals and other spiritual enrichment for those seeking to know God and find hope and purpose.

A belief in dignity, transformation, and community drives the work of Michelle and Jeff. They partner with local organizations and churches to create a safe and welcoming space where people can heal, grow, and envision a brighter future.
