Rich & Carol Bonham

The Bonhams

Rich (an engineering manager) and Carol (an electrical engineer turned domestic engineer) and their three children moved to Germany in 2000. The biggest question in their minds was, ‘How can God use us on the mission field?’

The answer to that has changed in ways that have surprised and humbled them. Carol began ministering with children in the church and the nearby missionary school and later transitioned to working more with the high school and with adults as their children become teens. Rich ministered with technology and distance learning (eDOT: electronic Discipleship, Outreach &Training) and later moved into leadership positions that allowed him the privilege of working with GEM missionaries and other partners across Europe. Starting in 2019 they worked together in expanding ministry in Frankfurt.

Rich and Carol moved to North Carolina in 2022 and Rich officially retired in January 2024. He still works part time with GEM as an Associate missionary and works with MosaiXmultiply as a board member and temporary Executive Director. MosaiXmultiply brings courses and training hubs to people in many countries that wish to plant churches that are missional, multiplying, and multicultural.

They are both very active in their local intercultural/multi-ethnic church in High Point. They are able to use the many lessons and experiences that they learned in their time with GEM to help this young church grow and reach out to their community.
