CLC cannot be possible without its volunteers.
The commitment is only 4 hours, one Saturday a month. If you are interested in any of the volunteer roles below, please get in touch with Jorge Berrios.

1. Client Advocates: You derive joy from listening to the heart of others. As you lean into the circumstances of others, you experience joy from prayer, encouragement, and connecting clients with social/spiritual resources. Meets with the client following an attorney appointment. Discernment and a shepherding heart. Able to listen well and offer wise counsel. Creative problem solver & resourceful. Comfortable praying. Social worker, counselor, or comparable heart. Confirms client's understanding of next steps and discerns the need for additional resources. Prays and provides the hope of God’s love.

2. Intake Specialist: You are the glue that holds the center together. You experience joy knowing this as other team members look to your help coordinating essential tasks for client scheduling, ensuring high-quality client and case documentation, and team administration. Pre-Clinic: Organize space, resources, & laptops with WiFi connectivity. During Clinic: welcome guests, explain the process, collect fees, help with paperwork/registration & prep for an appointment. Post-Clinic: Restore space, finish documentation & QA, and make necessary prep for next clinic. Administration. You love to check boxes & ensure smooth efficiency. Technical skills: Organized and good at coordination. A paralegal is helpful but not required. Warm & welcoming.

3. Follow up: Encouraging clients and providing additional care will bless you. Your extra care is critical for clients to follow through on their plans. Hearing results from clients and sharing them with your team will motivate their continued service-- Drive strong client outcomes by following up by call/text/email to help clients work through any barriers they may be facing, encouragement, gift of help, mercy, or service. Comfortable on the phone. Friendly. Able to coordinate information to keep clients on track and encouraged

4. Hospitality: You love making people feel welcome and at ease. You derive joy from providing food & beverages and a safe space for children, which puts parents at ease. Facilitate communication between the Client, Attorney, Client Advocate, Intake Specialist, and other volunteers as needed. Gift of hospitality, help/service, & encouragement. Ability to bless people behind the scenes by creating a welcoming, warm environment.
